This piece is for :iconfaye08: who is holding a light vs dark contest, the piece has to incorporate Hearts, Stars, and Butterflies; please see her journal for the details.

I found it at the right time too because I was feeling a lack of inspiration for most of the day. I haven't done a B&W piece in a long time, and it was quite fun.

This one is a bit expressive of my personal belief that everyone has a bit of a dark side, but even their flawed sides have their brightest points, and vice-versa.

Yay for symmetry!

Interesting work matey. Light and dark is one of my favourite subjects and it's cool to see the idea of light still being in dark and vice versa. You did a great job on the eyes. They have depth and presence and they're nice and sharp and focussed. They capture the viewers eye and that is the most important thing that eyes should do. Great work man :D

The eyes are amazing, and the rest (hair, lips) look really good. You're really getting the hang of realistic drawing :)

this is a really clever peice of work and monochrome is sooo fashionable at the moment (in the crafting world anyway!) :D
