Artist's Comments

Alrighty, finally done, I'll be taking down the WIP posting soon.

This is a remake of an older piece done originally in 2006 [link]

I picked this piece to redo because it's the one that scared me the most (I'm still not very comfortable at drawing plants and such as BG's.

I had quite a bit of help from :iconcele-1-20: on the anatomy and from :iconbendouglasuk: for skin coloring; and also to :iconeternallullaby: for creating the character and putting up with my haggling about little details, thank you guys you're the best!.

Overall, I'm pretty pleased with the outcome.

it looks stunning Brian :)

The best part about it is that it remains true to its roots and looks alot like traditional media at this size. The water and the nice textures are the best parts about it, really gives it that wow factor. Your anatomy and painting has muchly improved in this piece, your coming along really fast now.

No need to worry about the background either, its good to see that you made this one alot sharper, normally they are quite washy but you really thought it thorugh carefully here, nice to see :)
I have no crits really as I gave most in the WIP stage. The only thing I might suggest is that next time you show that the bank goes into the water a bit more (like you did with the rock) since at the moment it looks a bit like the grassy bank is floating on the water. That is only a minor niggle :) great job, keep em coming

Thank you, I was really proud of this one, plus it's always fun to flip back and forth from the original to see how far it's come along.

And landscapes scare me. I may have to break down and do some just to alleviate the fear, I find myself relying too much on brushes to push myself along. Lol there's always another step forward.

I don't have a girlfriend... I just know someone who would get REALLY mad if they heard me say that.

Oh, this is pretty! Everything is stunning  What I like best are the water, the waterfall, and the forest bg!

I don't or haven't tried smoking pot, I believe in Jesus Christ and not afraid to admit it, and that Abercrombie and Fitch thing, I'd laugh my head off.
